YEARBOOK CLUB
The Yearbook Club is under the guidance of Mrs. Miedzinski. The yearbook must be ready for submission to the publisher in early February. In order to meet deadlines, work begins in October and runs through January. Participation is voluntary and is often restricted to members of the 8th Grade.
ITALIAN
CLUB
The Italian Club will be under the guidance of Mrs. Strino Normand. It will meet on Wednesdays unless there is an early dismissal beginning in September. Older students will be given priority in membership; however, there is no grade limitation. Members will explore the Italian language and culture.
GEOGRAPHY BEE CLUB
This club is for students in grades 4-8 who are interested in competing in the National Geography Bee. Under the supervision of Mrs. Standish, the club meets after school weekly and runs from October until the SJS Geography Bee in December.
MATHCOUNTS CLUB
MathCounts, under the direction of Mrs. Wichrowski meets after school weekly from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. The club is open to students in grades 6-8. MathCounts sponsors a team which represents our school each year in the MathCounts competition.
MATH CLUB
Open to students in grades 4 and 5, Math Club meets one day a week after school beginning in January.
ART CLUB
Art club is supervised by Mrs. Taylor and Mrs. Suit along with parent volunteers. It meets 2 Fridays a month and is open to members from 5th through 8th grade.
DRAMA CLUB
The Drama Club produces and performs a yearly musical or play each spring.
