AdmissionWE ARE NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR NEW STUDENTS FOR THE 2010-2011 SCHOOL YEAR. We extend a warm welcome to any family interested in learning more about St. John's to contact Mrs. Suit to arrange for a visit. Priority in admission is given to children of registered, contributing
members of St. John's as well as Catholics from other parishes. We respectfully
welcome non-Catholic students to join our school community if openings remain.
Space permitting, new students can be accepted throughout the school year. All
students, both new and continuing, must submit the registration form with any necessary
documentation and include a non-refundable registration fee.
Admission Policy:
Our primary purpose is to serve all Catholic parents who want a Catholic education
for their children. All children of parishioners registered in the parish have
first priority. Any non-parishioners willing to comply with the policy and regulations
of the school will be considered for acceptance as space allows.
A birth certificate or baptismal certificate, health record, and immunization
record is required of every student entering school. Kindergarteners must be 5
years of age by September 1st.
St. John's School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national
or ethnic origin in the administration of educational policies, personnel policies,
admissions policies, athletic and other school administered programs.
The education of a student is a partnership between the parents and the school.
Just as the parent has the right to withdraw a child if desired, the school administration
reserves the right to require the withdrawal of a student if the administration
determines that the partnership is irretrievably broken.
Enrollment as a student at St. John's School assumes the willingness of both
parents and students to comply with the policies and regulations of the school
as contained in the St. John's School Parent/Student Handbook. Admission is probationary
for a period of 90 days. We reserve the right to dismiss any student whose behavior
and/or academic work habits do not meet the standards of St. John's School.
Choosing a school for your child is, or course, a major decision. We will be
happy to assist you in deciding if St. John's is the right school for your family.
Please call 301-373-2142 during school hours to have your questions answered or
to schedule an appointment for a visit. We look forward to sharing information
about our school with you. |
